(UNB) – Some 20 lakh people will be trained in the country’s ICT sector by the next two years.
This was revealed at a discussion titled ‘Universal Use of Digital Technology to Build Happy, Prosperous Bangladesh and Liberation War” arranged by the ICT Division at the ICT Tower in the afternoon, said a press release.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak spoke at the proramme as the chief guest while Supernumerary Professor of Dhaka University Dr Syed Anwar Hussain was the chief discussant.
Palak said the government is going ahead to ensure a universal use of digital technology.
Urging the youth to love the country, he said the government is by them.
Underscoring the need for learning about the country’s history, the state minister alleged that after the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the nation was not informed about the Liberation War for long 23 years. “We’ve to learn about our past if we want to keep our heads high,” he said.
ICT Secretary Subir Kishore Choudhury was also present among others.
