Irrfan’s film has crossed the Rs 200

Irrfan Khan‘s Hindi Medium is on a roll and how. It’s been three days since the 2017 film released in China and the movie is already creating records. As of today the movie has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the China Box office as it earned Rs 102.29 crore in 3 days. It has managed to race ahead of Dangal and Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’s opening weekend earnings however it failed to beat Secret Superstar’s opening weekend earnings.

The movie’s total worldwide collections now stands at Rs 210.84 crore (Rs 108.55 9 (gross) + 102.29). At this rate, Hindi Medium is set to create a lot more records. This seems to be just the beginning. The positive word mouth has hugely worked in the favour of the film.

The movie is about a couple who try to secure admission for their child in a plush school. But after being rejected by four schools, they resort to immoral ways to secure admission. But things take a twisted turn when their lie becomes reality. This muddled up situation helps them realise the true priorities in life. Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar were highly praised for their realistic performances. The film’s relevant message had everyone talking. It was one of the most loved movies of 2017.

Months after its  release, the movie continues to create waves. In other news, Blackmail, Irrfan Khan’s first release of this year hit theatres this week. The movie has been lauded for its dark comedy theme. Irrfan as usual has critics gushing over his comic yet intense performance.
