Mustafizur Rahman is all set to join Rajshahi Kings squad on November 8 for preparing him for the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, said a franchise press release on Tuesday.The left-arm seamer returned from South Africa with an injured left leg sustained while playing football during the team warm-up. Mustafizur is going through a rehabilitation program since sustaining the grade-two lateral ankle injury on October 13. ‘He is currently completing his rehabilitation process from the injury he suffered in South Africa and progressing quite well,’ said the press release. ‘Kings’ family once again are reassuring that they won’t rush his recovery. Mustafizur is an asset of the country and his full recovery is the first and foremost priority,’ it added. According to insiders though Mustafizur will join the Kings camp he is unlikely for play before the Chittagong phase. Rajshahi Kings roped in Mustafizur, who missed the cut in the icon category after Barisal Bulls was removed from the ongoing franchise-based Twenty20 competition for failing to put up the required appearance fee. The country’s top seven players have already signed up for seven franchises after they were allowed to choose their own teams by the BPL governing council. Earlier on November 5, Kings skipper Darren Sammy tweeted during the training session at Sylhet that he wishing a speedy recovery of Mustafiz so that he can join Kings soon.Mustafiz replied it through a tweet on Tuesday that I am eagerly waiting for the day. Hopefully we will join together on the field soon. The Kings lost their opening game against Rangpur Riders by six wickets.
