Othoi wins World Miss University Bangladesh

Tahmina Othoi, a student of University of Chittagong, has been crowned the winner of ‘World Miss University Bangladesh’ at a gala event presented by Diamond World on the premises of Channel I in the capital this Friday. The first runner-up of this pageant was Tahsin Wajed Esha, a student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering department, NSU and second runner-up was Fatema Yeasmin Liya, a student of Fashion and Technology department, BGMEA University. Tahmina Othoi is currently studying in the Department of Drama at the University of Chittagong and she now is all set to represent Bangladesh in the final competitions of the ‘World Miss University’ that will be held in Cambodia on December 19. Representatives from about 100 countries will participate in the main events of the beauty pageant. ‘World Miss University’ has been an international beauty contest held annually since 1986, with an average of about 70 contestants every year. The goal of the event is to select ‘World Miss University’ for Peace Corp Representations.
